These signs are made as near to the original as possible, in the same gauge metal, same size, stove enameled both sides, the only difference is the application of top quality "cast" vinyl for the lettering panel - i.e. Dark blue vinyl used for eastern regions, lettering cut out of the blue background. This vinyl is then applied to the white stove enameled sign face.

Each sign comes with a metal wall fixing bracket.

Sign colours are based on regional livery, as follows:
Scotland - light blue
North Eastern - orange - available with black outlined text (invokes surcharge) or plain white
Midlands - maroon
Eastern - dark blue
Southern - green
Western - brown

All totems come with one wall bracket, suitable for mounting on exterior wall, with stainless steel bolts and nylock nuts, plus screws and rawl plugs. 

All components have an exterior quality finish.

Dimensions: 3 feet wide by ten 1/2 inches deep. 
Long place names will be split over multiple lines

N.B. Only available as half flange signs.

The original early 1950s totem sign fixing brackets still in position and incredibly, after 50 years, still useable. 

The pale shape on the brickwork, above the brackets, is where a box shaped gas lamp was fitted.

 

August 2004

The new totem sign fixed onto the original 1950's brackets.

This is the first time a totem sign has been hung here for 37 years.
